Henderson State to honor outstanding alumni at annual banquet April 4

Distinguished Alumni awards will be presented to Dan Garrison ('85), Jim Harlow ('73), Michelle Ortiz ('96), and Dr. Johnnie Roebuck ('74) . Claudine James ('09) will receive the “H” Award, and the Young Alumni Award will be presented to Clay Sexton ('09).

Jaide Tatum crowned 2025 Miss Henderson State University

Felicity Frushour was named first runner-up, and Katie Batts was second runner-up. The competition categories included private interview, health & fitness, talent, on-stage question, and evening gown. The pageant is a preliminary event for Miss Arkansas.

Miss Henderson State University Pageant will be held Jan. 26

Eight Henderson State University students will vie for the title of Miss HSU 2025. Admission is $10, and $5 for age 18 and under. Admission is free for HSU students with a valid HSU ID, visiting royalty, sponsors, and children 5 and under.

Henderson State announces 2024 homecoming royalty candidates

Ten finalists will be announced Oct. 24 during the annual homecoming pep rally. The introduction of the full court, followed by the coronation ceremony, will take place during football pre-game festivities on Oct. 26.
