Gilpin, a professor of theatre, is a designer and director for Henderson theatre and dance productions. He has taught at the university for 32 years.

The university is sanitizing classroom and public spaces beyond normal cleaning procedures and also considering options for alternate class delivery should that become necessary.

Dawn Coffman of Texarkana, Texas, was first runner-up; Teddi-Anne Hulke, second runner-up; Peyton Davis, third runner-up; and Aiyanna Bartley, fourth runner-up.

The competition will include interview, social impact statement, talent, on-stage question, and evening gown, and is a preliminary event for Miss Arkansas.

Henderson’s Caddo Center provides an educational resource featuring Caddo Indian history in the Arkadelphia area for university students, faculty, staff, and the community. The center is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Six performances are scheduled for 7:30 pm on Feb. 20, 21, 22, 24, 27 and 28, in the Arkansas Hall Studio Theatre. A reception will follow the opening performance.

The special performance will entertain high school students on campus auditioning for All-State Band, and is open to the public.
