Gov. Asa Hutchinson today signed Act 18 of the 93rd General Assembly of Arkansas, which officially makes Henderson State University the seventh institution of the Arkansas State University System.
The Henderson Foundation is excited to announce the John and Melissa Davis Alumni Scholarship, a new $50,000 endowment for junior and senior students majoring in the liberal arts.
The new degree is a collaborative effort between the Department of Engineering and Physics, and the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics. Students who graduate with this degree will also earn a minor in mathematics.
The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) approved a Change of Control application and the continuation of Henderson’s accreditation as a future member of the ASU System. HLC accredits colleges and universities in a 19-state region of the United States, including all public higher education institutions in Arkansas.
Admission to the virtual performance is free of charge, but viewers must request an invitation at bit.ly/shekillsmonsterszoom to receive a link to access the performance. For more information, contact the Box Office at 870.230.5291 or email theatre@hsu.edu.
This year, due to COVID-19, the event will be drive-through-only. More than 40 student organizations will hand out treats along Henderson Street.
