Dr. Brandon Thurston serves as chancellor of a pre-k through 5th-grade elementary campus of about 350 students in the Midland Independent School District in Texas.
My family has been going to Henderson since the early 1930s. My grandfather, Olin (Nunny) Hardman, played Reddie football, and my grandmother, Virginia Louise Pilkington, majored in Education and was salutatorian of her class. Numerous uncles, aunts and cousins also graduated from HSU over the years. It’s a proud family tradition.
Llewellyn Terry received his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State in 2016. He is pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
Dr. Janice (Goodwin) Walker is system executive vice president and chief nursing executive for Baylor Scott and White Health in Texas. She graduated from Henderson in 1989 with a degree in nursing.
