HSU Theatre to present 'Lovers: Winners'
Henderson State University Theatre will present three performances of Lovers: Winners on Feb. 25, 26, and 27 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Arkansas Hall Auditorium. A question and answer session with the director will follow the opening performance.
Lovers: Winners, by Brian Frie, is the story of Mag and Joe, two 17-year-olds who are to be married in three weeks because Mag is pregnant. While they study and dream at the top of Ardnageeha hill, two commentators reveal the mysterious circumstances that follow their afternoon study session.
The cast of Lovers: Winners includes: Camden Dalie Keech of Conway; Ethan Schmidt of St. Louis, Missouri; Jessica Smith of Cabot; and Lucy Speer of Little Rock. The play is under the direction of Hannah Mims of Foulke. Lighting design is by Douglas Gilpin, William Henshaw designed the costumes, and sound design is by Claudia Beach.
Student designers include: Eric Cox of Texarkana, Texas, scenic design; and Natalie Gray of Hot Springs, assistant costume designer. The stage manager is Robert Chase Dunn of Rudy.
Even though admission is free, all seats are reserved. Patrons will be seated six feet apart and must remain masked. The Henderson Theatre Box Office in Arkansas Hall is now open for advance ticket reservations from 1-4 p.m.
